SHAYNA JONES

Shayna Jones is an actor, performance storyteller, folklorist, spoken word artist, wife, and mother. While homeschooling 3 young kids, raising a grand garden, and living in the rural mountains of BC, she maintains a dynamic career as a performance artist, often taking her entire family on tour with her. The pandemic cancelled several of her storytelling events, including a workshop she was to give at the National Storytelling Conference. In 2018, Shayna received a Jessie Award for her performance as Salima in Dark Glass Theatre’s production of Ruined. She passionately believes in the power of the spoken word to reveal and heal who we are to one another. Learn more about her and her work at www.wearestoryfolk.com
